Community Grant Application Form for Projects $1,500 or less

All applications must be submitted by September 30.

Funding period

The funding period for this grant is January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.

Your project must take place and be completed within that time period for your application to be eligible.

Conditions of assistance

1. Organization has been in existence for more than one year.
2. The organization has other sources of funding, as Township grant funding cannot be the sole source of funding, and the organization has a bank account.
3. Any grant funding provided by the Township must be applied to current expenses associated with the approved grant and not be used towards any other project of the applicant, or to reduce or eliminate debt/deficits.
4. The Township must be notified in writing of any significant changes and/or purpose of the supported project/event.
5. In the event that the project/event does not move forward or is not completed, the Township reserves the right to request the return of any grant funding.
6. Receipt of a grant does not guarantee funding for the following or any subsequent year.
7. The applicant acknowledges and agrees that the Township of Severn shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages, injury or loss of use, revenue or profit of the organization arising out of or in any way related to the approved program/event.
8. The applicant acknowledges that they must obtain the required insurance coverage and permits (Township or otherwise) prior to the program/event.
9. The project/event must abide by and operate in accordance with all Provincial regulations, laws as well as Township by-laws.
10. Where applicable, the Township must be acknowledged on promotional materials related to the funded program/event, including but not limited to brochures, print ads, programs, posters, signage and media releases, as well as websites, e-newsletters, and social media campaigns where possible. The Communications Officer will require information from the applicant, in advance on what materials/ electronic formats the Township’s logo will be included on to ensure compliance with the Township’s brand guidelines.
11. The Township reserves the right to an onsite presence, or formal role, at Special or Community Events. Failure to acknowledge the Township’s support may result in the inability of an organization to obtain a grant in future years.
